Educating The Female Brain

The growth of the female brain starts it on its unique growth pattern almost from conception which results in significant differences in what females need in schools and their lives as they grow up to educate the female brain.

"Almost from conception, the female brain is bathed in estrogen which produces different needs in a female as opposed to the impact of the testosterone bath experienced by males," explained Elizabeth Guarnaccia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker consulting with Auldern Academy, a Therapeutic Boarding School for Girls in North Carolina on Lon Woodbury's Internet Talk Radio Show "Parent Choices for Struggling Teens" on October 24, 2011 at LATalkRadio.

"The primary result in the female brain is to hardwire it to emphasize communication and social interactions," continued Jane Samuel, the Head of Auldern Academy "resulting in a real need for the female to belong to a group as one of the most important facets of her life."

"The importance of her social world is the main reason for females to be so devastated when she is rejected by a group of girls or bullied by other girls," explained Samuel and Guarnaccia, "which has become an even more intense problem with the increasing influence of social media."

"While this brain directed impulse to collaborate caused our female ancestors to band together in a healthy way with other women for safety and collaboration in caring for children," Samuel and Guarnaccia concluded, "that impulse misdirected into having many friends on FaceBook and other social media tends to result in a girl feeling even more isolated because the social media is devoid of the healthy real relationships she needs."
