10-31-2011 02:21 PM CET | Health & Medicine

Press release from: Cairn Technology

Cairn Technology, an infection control and environmental consultancy based in Sheffield are seeing some big and exciting changes. They’ve hired four new employees, have recently moved offices and a new website is in the works.

Sheffield-based environmental consultancy Cairn Technology specialise in infection control, continence care and training for the hospital and care home sectors. Their range of prevention and control products spans chemical spill kits, sterile mats, hand sanitisers and cleaning supplies. They also provide full training for hospital and care home staff in the use of all products so that environmental and patient monitoring procedures can be improved.

The first major change is a move to new premises. Staying in Sheffield, the company have moved to larger offices closer to the M1. This will facilitate better access for their consultants, who conduct onsite visits to hospitals and care homes on a regular basis for training and environmental monitoring. It will enable Cairn to expand their operations and services for the care home sector, having previously focused mainly on hospitals.

In addition to this move to larger premises, Cairn have also recruited four new members of staff. Hospital Sales have a new member of the sales team, as well as a new manager; Care Home Sales also have a new member of the sales team and the most recent addition to the company is a Monitoring Consultant.

A third big change comes in the form of Cairn’s new website. Soon to be launched, the site will contain all of Cairn’s existing products, information and services for hospitals, but will also have an entirely new section devoted to the care home sector.

Heather Williams, Cairn Technology’s Marketing Manager, talks about the changes to the company: “This is an exciting time for Cairn. We’ve moved to new, larger premises, we’ve recruited new staff, we have a great new product and a new website is on the way. Look out for us!”
