This is a two day pharmaceutical conference designed to explore and utilize the full spectrum of patient adherence to develop best practice ideas and solutions to improve patient outcomes. The PACE conference brings together many stakeholders and thought leaders in the industry with ideas on what drives compliance and how to use it to affect communication and engagement in patient care.
Jacqueline O’Doherty, Certified Patient Advocate and Geriatric Care Manager, from Health Care Connect, LLC in Peapack, NJ will lead an expert stakeholder panel titled Questions and Answers: Physicians, Patient Advocates, HCP, Pharmacy and Academia.
This panel of patient advocates will focus on the patient’s voice and what it takes to drive adherence and compliance through patient centered care. The panel will explore what are the real causes of non-adherence and what forces are changing the ways patient adherence and compliance needs to be addressed. Topics will include how to increase patient engagement and self management by focusing on patient motivation and empowerment, how to establish credible relationships with key patient support leaders, practical tips in the development of patient programs and feedback techniques, as well as the payer value of long term investment in patient programs.
Jacqueline O’Doherty, the panel leader, stated “It is so important that pharma hears the voice of the patient and understand the issues of non compliance from the patient point of view. More often than not, there are compelling reasons for the patient’s non-adherence.” This panel will address these issues from the patient’s perspective. With patient centered care, it is the patients who are the new dominant stakeholders. This panel will address how to affect change in the relationship and collaboration between pharma, physicians and the ultimate stakeholders, the patients.
Jacqueline O’Doherty, the panel leader, stated “It is so important that pharma hears the voice of the patient and understand the issues of non compliance from the patient point of view.
