Using social media, blogs, and YouTube, the company has grown a fan base of more than 18,000 active, enthusiastic followers. The company recently held two major social media contests, a “VIP at the UFC” contest, and a “Race to Vegas” contest. The winner of the VIP at the UFC promotion won hotel accommodations and airfare, plus two tickets for the UFC 137 Welterweight title fight between Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz. The grand prize winner of the Race to Vegas contest walked away with airfare, hotel accommodations, and two all-access pit passes to the Smith’s 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Entering the contests only required entrants to “Like” SafeAuto’s Facebook page, with winners chosen in a random drawing. This simple entry format, coupled with exciting social media content, has proven to be an effective way for the company to keep their brand fresh in consumers’ minds, while constantly reaching out to new potential customers.
