SafeAuto Insurance Holds Myrtle Beach Auditions for Do the Jingle Contest
Winner Will Receive $5,000.00 Cash and Featured Role in SafeAuto Television CommercialColumbus, OH, July 26, 2011 -- SafeAuto Insurance, a Columbus, Ohio auto insurance carrier, will be holding auditions for the 2012 edition of its annual “Do the Jingle” contest. Myrtle Beach, SC will be the second stop for the SafeAuto team, who are visiting seven different cities this year in search of this year’s most entertaining musician or performer. The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of $5,000.00 and a featured role in a SafeAuto television commercial.
Auditions will be held in Myrtle Beach from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on August 3rd and 4th, 2011, at the Fairfield Inn Broadway At The Beach, 1350 Oleander Drive. Interested musicians and performers are requested to set up an audition time through Jason Parks at (614) 944-7306 or jason.parks@safeauto.com.
With the popularity of SafeAuto’s well-known jingle(which can be heard at dothejingle.com) , the contest has been a great success for the past three years. The “Do the Jingle” contest allows entrants to create their own renditions of the jingle, which SafeAuto will film and post on the company’s Do The Jingle website and its YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/LegalForLess). Starting January 02, 2012, fans can vote for their favorite entries on the SafeAuto Do the Jingle website (http://www.safeauto.com/dothejingle/) until the end of February 2012. “SafeAuto is thrilled to announce our 4th annual Do the Jingle Contest. This has become a major digital event as each year more people get caught up in the fun. Last year we had over one million votes to find our winner,” said President Jon Diamond. “SafeAuto is looking forward to meeting the best musicians in Myrtle Beach, and potentially seeing them in an upcoming commercial campaign.”
Last year’s contest brought many entries, with The Church Band from Chicago coming out on top with 239,474 votes. This year’s winning contestant will also be awarded $5,000.00 and a role in a SafeAuto commercial.
