New book by ordained minister challenges traditional Christian belief that Jesus was called the Son of God before the incarnation
Jesus as the Logos and the Son of God: Examining the Doctrines of Eternal Sonship and Eternal Generation
The book consists of strong biblical support with a extremely thorough examination of almost all pertinent passages discussing the nature of Jesus prior to the incarnation. He also discusses the early church evidence and proves through quotations of early church documents to show how the original belief of the apostolic fathers like Ignatius was later deliberately corrupted by those holding a different view in the second century. According to King, this corrupted view then found its way into the creeds.
