Digitization of highway food malls in Maharashtra gives outdoor advertising a new lease of life
Mumbai, Oct 14th 2011: Food malls and restaurants doting the National Highways of Maharashtra often targeted as cheap and effective point of sales for brands have been given the much required facelift through installation of audio visual Digital display screens installed by Vritti i-Media. At present, Food malls across Maharashtra with Vritti’s digital displays are attracting 25 Lakh footfalls every month, where 60% of the audience comes from Sec A section of society and have become the target for advertisers to capture the attention of an audience on the move.So far advertisers have been successful in gaining the audience attention on highways through hoardings and other traditional forms of advertising like signages, kiosks and samples. However, with increased competition for top of mind recall, capturing the audience attention and retaining their interest have been the main challenges for advertisers. Vritti i-Media’s digital displays help advertisers overcome these challenges with the unique format of mandatory listening and dynamic imaging that ensures captive audience attention.
Talking about the technology involved in broadcasting these messages, Mr. Veerendra Jamdade, CEO, Vritti Solutions says, “Content broadcasted on these digital displays are controlled through a central broadcasting system linked via internet. Messages are created, loaded and sent via internet which is then scheduled on the displays to run instantly. Hence, the entire advertising process becomes very fast and effective. We have received a great feedback from our current clients and look forward to spreading our presence in other connecting highways across Maharashtra. ”
Speaking about the impact of Vritti i-Media’s audio visual medium, Mr. Anand Bhave, General Manager, Marketing, Naik Navare Builders shares, “People travelling by public & private buses view the digital displays to check on the bus timings, thus making them more receptive to advertising messages than otherwise. Moreover, Vritti i-Media runs interesting quizzes and contests awarding prizes to winners. This has build interactivity with the viewers. This has impacted our business enquiries in a great way and we look forward to a long association with this innovative medium of Vritti i-Media.”
Prominently placed at all the important highway restaurants and malls across Maharashtra along the Mumbai – Pune expressway and Pune-Nashik highway, Vritti i-Media’s digital displays broadcast bus arrival and departure schedules interjected with 10- 30 second advertisements that effectively capture the brand message in an engaging manner. Moreover, content of these displays can be adjusted according to the day of the week, message of the season and even the time of the day, making it a flexible and time & cost saving medium for advertisers. Brands currently using Vritti i-Media’s services are SBI bank, Ghadi detergent, Dream Realty, Kirti Gold, Pride Purple and many more.
