Kiwaii True Spring Water supports the 2011 Right2Know March

October 4, 2011- Hellertown PA- Kiwaii True Spring Water announced their support for the Right2Know March being held on October 1-16, 2011, from New York to Washington DC. The march will champion Americans' right to know what is in the products they purchase and consume, and will raise awareness of the genetically modified organisms (GMO) labeling campaign. For example, many consumers don't know that 80% of the packaged foods in America contain genetically engineered ingredients but are not labeled with that information.

Genetically engineered foods have not been proven safe. GMO plants have been genetically altered to grow in broader conditions and to withstand pests and toxic weed killers. Biotechnology companies have lobbied against labeling products containing their patented plants—plants which are specially designed to withstand spraying with cancer-causing weed-killers, and plants which produce their own pesticides in every one of their cells.
