On the Application
by the Republic of Uzbekistan of the ILO Convention №182
«On Worst Forms of Child Labour»

In accordance with the 2010 Report of the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations of International Labour Organization, in May 2011 Reports by the Republic of Uzbekistan on the application of ratified convention №29, №47, №52, №98, №100, №103, №105, №111, №122, №135, №138, №154 and №182 were submitted to International Labour Office. Moreover the information on the implementation of National Action Plan of Uzbekistan for realization of ILO Conventions № 138 and №182 was conveyed to ILO as well.

The Uzbek Parliament ratified 13 fundamental ILO Conventions, in particular Conventions №138 on Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and №182 on Worst Forms of Child Labour.

Moreover, in partnership with International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) a “Handbook for parliamentarians: Eliminating the worst forms of child labour: a practical guide to ILO Convention 182” and “Collection of main 30 ILO Conventions” were published in Uzbek language.

Through the implementation of number of nationwide Social Programmes, namely “Healthy Generation”, “Mother and Child”, “Year of Family”, “Year of Health”, “Year of Social Protection”, “Year of Youth”, “Year of Harmoniously Developed Generation” and others, all necessary conditions for protection of social and economic rights of children and providing their comprehensive harmonized development were created in Uzbekistan.
