Opening Reception: Friday, March 13, 2020 6:00pm- 8:00pm
Location: THEARC EAST, 1901 Mississippi Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20020
Gallery Hours: Monday through Saturdays from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m; Sunday 10am-5pm

This collection serves to celebrate experimenting and stepping out of one's comfort zone in life and in art. Agoussoye got her start working in sketching and later in painting, which she has now elevated by the use of crushed glass. "Beauty can be found even in the broken things," the artist explains. "My goal with this collection is to inspire others to not only be artistically bold and challenge themselves to use non-traditional materials and techniques in their work, but also on an emotional, internal level, to never completely throw away the parts of ourselves that are broken. Instead, we can shine them up and combine them with something good to make them something that can benefit the world - just like this glass."
