Women's security and safety in the workplace

Business managers and owners are being challenging this month to address the personal safety of their female employees both in the workplace and whilst travelling to work. The initiative to raise awareness for the issue entitled ‘Safety awareness for women’ is a joint venture backed by Westminster police.
To promote the focus on this important subject a DVD has been released entitled ‘Living with confidence’, the DVD is full of awareness points and safety ideas designed not frighten women away from the issue but rather highlight and give advice on safety and security in women’s everyday lives. Also produced for the campaign is a training pack for businesses to assist them and their staff in training on this important issue. The Living with confidence DVD and the training pack aims to cover women’s security at home, in the workplace and whilst socialising.
