2014 World Cup: Benefits for Brazilian real estate investment

The 2014 Brazilian World Cup is expected to boost economic growth in Brazil by approximately US$70billion.

The World Cup is one of the world’s biggest sporting events and will drastically boost Brazilian investments, employment opportunities and the economy.

The majority of economic growth over the months of the 2014 World Cup is expected to come from public and also private investment in Brazil in areas such as infrastructure and services. An estimated 600,000 foreigners will travel to Brazil, strengthening the ever-growing Brazilian tourist industry. Overall it is expected that foreign visitors alone will generate US$2.5 billion in extra income for Brazil.

Founder of Housetech Developments, Waseem Saddique said: “Brazil is a fantastic place to invest and due to the forthcoming 2014 World Cup, it will continue to seek economic growth in the future making it a safe country for many investors whilst the rest of the world has suffered during the recession.”

Urban improvements are taking place in host cities such as street paving and drainage and further funds will be used to improve the transport sector.

Government money is coming from the Growth Acceleration Programme (PAC), the same funds that are financing Minha Casa Minha Vida, a real estate project in Brazil.

With house prices in Brazil expected to increase in hot spots across the country, Brazilian property offers investors excellent value for money.

The demand for luxury property is ahead of supply which has consequently driven up the prices in the area for pre-built homes and land.

Due to the 2014 Brazilian World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games, property Prices are set to drastically increase making now an excellent time to invest.

Waseem Saddique said: “The idea of investing in property in Brazil is becoming more appealing to the British due to more affordable prices.

“We are selling at cost price. House prices have been stable for the past 12 months but they cannot get any lower.”

Since the inception of Housetech Construction, we have grown at an accelerated rate. Our mission is to deliver value to our clients by creating high quality developments in which people want to live, work and play.
