The Oasis Paco Park Hotel Participates in the 2011 WOFEX Event

August 2011, Manila, Philippines --- The Oasis Paco Park Hotel , Manila’s original boutique hotel for business and tourists alike, recently joined the World Food Expo 2011 on August 3-6, 2011 at the SMX Convention World Trade Center in Metro Manila, Philippines. WOFEX is the home of the 2011 Philippine Culinary Cup, one of the most prestigious culinary competitions in the country.

The Oasis Park Hotel Manila had two representatives at the event. One of them was Mr. Roddney Natividad, who competed last August 5, 2011 in the Philippines Barista Cup wherein he competed with 11 other contenders for the NCR division. Roddney is a barista at the Flat White Café of the hotel and has been in the coffee industry for more than 2 years now. It was his first time to join a barista competition which has inspired him to continue developing his craft and join future competitions.

Chef Ainer Ebue was the other representative for the Oasis Park Hotel. He represented the hotel at the Chef’s Showdown: International Cuisines by the Hotel & Restaurant Chefs Association of the Philippines. Chef Ainer, along with 7 other chefs from different hotels and restaurants, demonstrated their skills and talents for the judges and audience. He prepared a slow-cooked barramundi fillet with celery citrus slaw, mint-ginger vinaigrette and orange hollandaise.
