Tom Bergeron, Marianne Williamson, Judd Nelson, Rick Overton to Honor Suzanne Whang at Breast Cancer Benefit

Tom Bergeron, Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith, Judd Nelson, Rick Overton, Dov Davidoff, Billy the Mime, Eric Schwartz and some surprise guests will be turning out to honor Suzanne Whang at a Gala Fundraiser on September 24. Suzanne Whang was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. In April she came out of the closet publicly with her diagnosis of stage IV breast cancer, and began to openly talk about her five year continuing journey with the disease.

"So many women keep cancer a secret. They hide the impact it has on them physically, personally and financially. Why? 1 in 8 women will will face this challenge. This silence kills. I've always been politically active and addressed social issues head on. But for five years, through some very difficult experiences and financial challenges, I hid the fact that I had cancer. This year I realized I had to let go of the secret, so that I could release the cancer. Since then, the support of my friends, family and the entertainment community has been overwhelming. This remarkable fundraiser is no exception. My chesticles thank you."

The fundraiser starts at 6pm with a cocktail reception, followed by a 7:00-9:30pm show, and a 9:30-12:00am after party. The Los Angeles location for the event will given after tickets are purchased.
