Deck 84 to Host 'Paws for the Cause' Professional Networking Event 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, August 16
'Paws for the Cause,' a professional networking organization that raises funds for the Tri County Humane Society, will host its monthly social for members and the public from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Deck 84, located at 840 E. Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL. Boasting nearly 300 feet of dockage, a shaded bar and dog-friendly patio, Deck 84 is a popular dining destination for pet lovers in and around South Florida.Owner Burt Rapoport says, “’Paws for the Cause’ continues to make strides for animal welfare, and we’re looking forward to saying ‘thank you’ by giving all guests, canine and otherwise, the VIP treatment.”
“'Paws for the Cause' events are a great opportunity for us to build community awareness about our mission and expand our pool of supporters,” says Janice Olson, Tri County Humane Society Activities Director. “'Paws' members become some of our strongest volunteers and donors, and get very involved with other shelter activities.”
'Paws for the Cause' meets the third Tuesday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. It offers fundraising and volunteer support to the Shelter, while providing its members with a platform to mix and mingle with the area's most talented and esteemed professionals. Tri County Humane Society is a 100% no-kill animal shelter in Boca Raton, FL, that rescues and rehomes approximately 1,500 dog, cats, puppies, and kittens each year. Tri County Humane Society's rescue efforts are funded solely through adoptions and private donations.
Deck 84 was the recent recipient of four of Boca Magazine’s 2011 Reader’s Choice Awards, including Favorite Restaurant, 1st Place Oceanfront Dining, 1st Place Intracoastal Dining, and Runners’ Up for Outdoor Dining. Deck 84 is open daily beginning at 11:30 a.m. each weekday for lunch and dinner, serving brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
