Crestron Controls AV in Entourage Star's New Home Theater

Rockleigh, NJ, August 3, 2011 – Crestron home technology was selected for the season premiere of DIY Network's Hollywood Hi-Tech, the first television series devoted to lifestyle electronics and high-end custom installations in celebrity homes. The first episode aired on July 20 and featured lifestyle technology expert, Janna Robinson and her team of installers and contractors transforming Entourage star, Kevin Connolly's rarely used TV room and bar into a fully functional screening palace. The impeccably appointed media room features the latest cutting-edge home theater technology and furnishings including luxury raised seating, Crestron audio/video control, a 110-inch screen, HD projector and custom-made automatic blackout shades.
Each episode of Hollywood Hi-Tech chronicles Robinson's visits to a Hollywood star's home to give one room the ultimate technology makeover using state-of-the-art gear to completely transform the space. Crestron integrator, Roberts Home AV installed a Crestron CP2E processor to control the audio and video, providing Connolly with one- touch control of all entertainment sources including Blu-ray® player, cable TV, Crestron IDOCV for Apple® iPod® and more from a TPS-6X touch screen. Connolly's theater also features a Crestron iLux™ Lighting Control System.
"We are proud to sponsor Hollywood Hi-Tech and give viewers an inside look at how Crestron integrated home technology brings comfort and convenience to every home," said Crestron Director of Marketing, Vincent Bruno. "The series showcases lifestyle technology products and introduces the custom installation process to a national audience."
Crestron has pioneered the home technology industry for more than 40 years and provides end to end control systems for every home and budget. With Crestron control, Connolly can host his entire entourage in his new screening room using the latest home technology.
Hollywood Hi-Tech airs every Wednesday on DIY Network at 9:30 p.m. ET. The series features some of Hollywood's best-known celebrities including Academy Award winning director Oliver Stone, Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Nancy O'Dell, Entourage star Kevin Connolly, comedian Adam Carolla and actor Patrick Warburton of the TV comedy series Rules of Engagement. The celebrities are involved in the entire makeover process, from the initial consultation with Janna, through construction and installation to the unveiling of the finished room.
