Rose Walker Adds Commercial Litigation, White-Collar Lawyer in Dallas

DALLAS – Experienced trial attorney Jody Rudman has joined Dallas’ Rose•Walker, L.L.P., where her practice involves all manner of business and commercial litigation and white-collar representation.

Ms. Rudman joins the firm with an extensive background in courtroom trials. For the last four years, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, handling numerous jury and bench trials as a felony prosecutor. Before that, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ms. Rudman tried complex fraud and white-collar cases and handled appeals before the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. She also has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas, in which role she tried high-profile health care and charitable trust cases.

At Rose•Walker, Ms. Rudman focuses on commercial litigation, including health care, ERISA, antitrust and appellate work. She also handles white-collar cases involving executives and companies who are the subject of government investigations or who have been accused of wrongdoing.

“We’re trial lawyers first and foremost and Jody certainly is that – and a very good one,” says firm founder Martin Rose. “We are absolutely thrilled that she’s bringing her trial skills here. It will be good for her, for us and for our clients.”

In addition to her service in the public sector, Ms. Rudman also has worked at private law firms in Dallas and Chicago, representing clients in business, commercial, health care and ERISA litigation. She is a graduate of The Law School at The University of Chicago and holds an undergraduate degree in speech, with minors in Russian and political science, from Northwestern University.

Ms. Rudman is a native of Dallas and a graduate of The Hockaday School, where she served six years on the school’s alumnae board, including four on the executive board. She is a published author on matters involving ERISA litigation and previously was named to D Magazine’s list of Best Lawyers Under 40.
