Building on the success of its slogan of “for successful living” that has been in use since the company’s international expansion in the early 1990’s, Diesel jewellery have launched a new advertising campaign advising people to seek success by being ‘stupid’ and retailers such as http://www.thejewelhut.co.uk are already starting to see benefits such as increased sales.

The Italian-based clothing to jewellery designers are spearheading a campaign that asserts that while most of the intelligent and smart decisions will lead to an efficient continuation of the status quo, only truly stupid thoughts, or at least those that seems stupid to the traditional way of working, will result in society being free to dream of further improvements.

The company was founded by Renzo Rosso and Adriano Goldschmied in 1978. Since 1988 creative direction and designs for the company has been overseen by Wilbert Das 1988. Today the company has become a worldwide brand featuring in thousands of stores worldwide. It also produces a range of items outside of clothing and jewellery including a line of fragrances for both men and women.

The new advertising campaign for Diesel jewellery is one of a number of new opportunities for the company. The company has also recently become a sponsor of the Ducati MotoGP team. The partnership will find Diesel jewellery logo appearing on the bikes’ fairings and tailpieces, as well as on the sleeves of the race suits and clothing worn by the Ducati Marlboro Team’s incomparable champion, Valentino Rossi, who is ready to take to the track and compete for the premier-class title. Rossi will be joined in his quest for victory by his teammate Nicky Hayden.

Rossi is currently lying fourth in the MotoGP standings, 85 points behind the current leader Casey Stoner with 8 races including a race in the Republic of San Marino, a few miles from his birthplace in Urbino, Italy still to come. His team mate Nicky Hayden is currently in 7th place following the weekend’s US GP in California.
