F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems Launches New “VITAL” Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Program

F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems has introduced their new VITAL (Visually Inspect Test Analyze Log) maintenance program, a color-coded system that is designed to streamline inspection, testing and maintenance processes within power generating and chemical processing plants. A common problem within these facilities is that plant staff often do not have sufficient experience or training to properly conduct these critical processes; the VITAL system was developed to serve as a guide for effectively performing inspections, testing and maintenance.

The VITAL tags provide key testing or inspection instructions specific to the individual equipment, enabling plant staff to quickly perform the necessary processes. Additionally, the VITAL system allows the facility to log testing or inspection data, ensuring that systems are receiving the attention that is required to keep them in optimal condition. Corresponding manuals are also written specifically for each facility, providing in-depth information about the applicable ITM processes so that annual inspections can be completed with a high degree of accuracy. The detailed yet straightforward instructions eliminate guesswork and provide plant staff with the necessary information to correctly and efficiently conduct ITM processes.
