Wish Upon A Wedding - North Carolina Launch Event
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEHealth issues shouldn’t get in the way of someone’s dream to marry his or her best friend. That’s why Wish Upon A Wedding is expanding to the Tar Heel State and launching the state’s first chapter in Chapel Hill. On September 27th at 6:00pm, all are welcome to attend the chapter’s launch party at Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery. Professionals within the local wedding and event industry and the medical and health care community are invited to learn how this organization will positively affect lives across the region.
This is a free event, however, the new chapter welcomes any donations. All contributions will go directly towards helping the chapter grant wishes to deserving couples. Reservations are required. “There are amazing wedding professionals in the North Carolina area that are eager to touch lives through this organization,” says Chapter President, Veronica Foster. “I am excited about how they have embraced it and are ready to serve!”
The chapter is currently compiling a database of “Wish Granters” based on 20 different wedding vendor categories. When a wish is received, the chapter’s Volunteer Coordinator will call upon the wish granters to donate their professional goods and services, enabling Wish Upon A Wedding North Carolina to grant the wedding wish, from simple to more elaborate, depending on the wish recipient’s health condition.
Wish Upon a Wedding is dedicated to granting weddings and/or civil union ceremonies at destinations across North America to couples who are facing terminal illness. The foundation was created to celebrate the courage, determination and spirit of these couples by granting their dream wedding wishes. The hope is that chosen recipients can inspire other couples facing similar situations to find hope and strength. Wish Upon a Wedding is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
