The ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communication) exhibition is the largest optical communications exhibition in Europe. This exhibition held in different European cities every September. This year is the 24th year of the show,and it will be held in Dublin Ireland from 23 to 25 Sept. .

At ECOC 2019, we will showcase “MEMS Technology Series” such as 1×48CH MEMS optical switch, “Secure Lockable Connectors” for higher security levels networks, “Polarization Maintaining Connector” for efficient assembly, and “High-density Fiber Cassette” for data centers. Highlights:
1×48 MEMS Optical Switch

The demand for MEMS optical switch increases rapidly with the development of ROADM-based AON, especially when ROADM technologies sink to metro network from backbone network. Based on this demand, HYC developed a series of optical devices based on MEMS technology, including 1×N optical switch, MEMS optical switch modules integrated with WDM, PLC or PD, and MCS modules.

HYC’s 1×48 Optical Switch is based on MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) technology and Free-space Platform. With the features of compact structure, low latency, efficient switching and other features, it is widely used in fiber monitoring system, optical add/drop system and measurement instrument system.

SC Secure Lockable Connector
It is very important to ensure fiber connectivity’s stably and security in large volume traffic areas that are accessed by multiple people,especially in sensitive applications involving confidential data and information. HYC's new SC secure lockable connector is designed to prevent unauthorized access or modify.

This lockable connector has a unique key details built into the body that can be locked as soon as it is inserted into the adapter. Once the connector is locked, it can only be removed with the matching color key. And these SC secure lockable connectors are fully compatible with Industry Standard SC adapters. The dust cap also has a lock function to prevent access to unused ports. These SC secure lockable connectors can be used in a variety of highly sensitive applications such as military, government and financial where multiple operation groups may exist.

Polarization Maintaining Fiber Connectors
Compared with the traditional way of adjusting optical fiber, it takes shorter time to operate, which can greatly improve the assembly efficiency. During the process of assembling, the polarization axis of a fiber is aligned with the connector key by rotating the ferrule until the polarization axis is in line with keyway of the connector. Compared with the traditional way of adjusting optical fiber, it takes shorter time to operate, which can greatly improve the assembly efficiency.
