Contentserv Launches Minor Release CS11.2 on Schedule
Rohrbach/Ilm June 29, 2011: With the reliability characteristic of the software manufacturer Contentserv, it has launched its latest release. With 71 feature requests and 500 bugfixes, as well as three new products in the prerelease program, Contentserv proves that its quality offensive is steadily progressing with each release.With the punctual introduction of the Release CS11.2, Contentserv has fulfilled the planned development cycle of four months for each minor or major release. The numerous improvements and bugfixes are proof that performance optimization is standard and that the Contentserv development department takes maintenance and service seriously. In addition, Contentserv clearly shows its responsibility towards users with the prerelease. Before the official launch of the major release CS12 in fall customers may obtain experience beforehand.
Highlights of the New Functions and Prerelease:
PPM InCopy Connector
The InCopy Connector enables the shared offline editing of InDesign documents via Adobe InCopy tasks. Other users are assigned tasks from the classic InDesign client, which are performed in an editor similar to InDesign. Afterwards the document owner uploads the changes in the document again. All InCopy tasks are likewise distributed in the new Project Manager and managed via workflow.
PIM Comet Connector
With the PIM Comet Connector, Contentserv has access to a bidirectional real-time interface via internet to the InDesign client of any agency. The web service was developed in cooperation with Werk II and enables the connection of additional pallets know as priint:comet in the Adobe InDesign client to PIM, MAM, EMM or PPM data in Contentserv.
Prerelease of the New MediaBox
Die MediaBox focusses on the classic MAM processes as a full-page Portal Widget. In addition to the improved usability the successor of the MAM widget is characterized by the extension of the functional range.
Prerelease of the BPM Project Manager
The BPM Project Manager supplements the Workflow Engine of Contentserv by the concept of projects, processes, tasks, milestones and expenses.
Prerelease of ESA Business Reports
ESA Business Reports is a flexible and extendible framework of Contentserv in order to create, configure and make reports available to users automatically. Reports can be integrated in the browser interfaces and be sent automatically by email.
Internet Explorer Support for the Publication Manager
As of version CS11.2, Firefox 4 and MSIE 8 are now fully supported by all Contentserv products.
BrandKeeper with New Variables Concept and CMS Brand Portal
The EMM BrandKeeper serves to individualize advertising material within an advertising material portal. The new variables concept makes it possible to provide access to text sections made accessible for individualization in a continuous text, whereas the surrounding text remains unaltered.
Furthermore many additional general improvements were released with CS11.2. These include the advanced search, which has been completely redesigned, new rights for pallets in sidebars have been integrated and a new view modus was created in the editor settings.
