Seattle based tech startup DigiGlyph, Inc. announced the release of its SUPPORTbuddy app for iPhone, Android and Facebook. With the free SUPPORTbuddy app, people can build a private support network, making it easier to share how they are doing, check on friends and family as well as connect with others in support groups focused around health issues. SUPPORTbuddy is the first step in the project’s long-term goal of making support ubiquitous – available everywhere, to anyone, at any time. With social support listed as one of the top non-medical indicators of long-term recovery from chronic illness and disease, providing better access to support can have a significant impact on outcomes from health problems as well as overall wellness for the average person. Being available as a smartphone and Facebook app, SUPPORTbuddy integrates with people’s existing use of technology, making support conveniently available at the touch of a button.

Key Features Include
• Available on Facebook, iPhone and Android
• Easily update wellness using a color-coded scale as well as monitor wellness over time
• Browse stream of wellness from support network
• Receive alerts and notifications via text message, email or Facebook private messaging
• Participating in discussions in health issue specific support groups

“SUPPORTbuddy is unique, it integrates with people’s existing use of technology, making it easier to build a support network, as well as give and receive support,” said Matt Fields, DigiGlyph, CEO. “We’re excited about the release of SUPPORTbuddy and looking forward to continuing our work with the health community to make support ubiquitous.”
