The Civil Service Examinations are conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). The UPSC exams are conducted in three different phases- preliminary exam with two papers- General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2, which is also known by the name CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test) and the main exam which consists of 9 papers- essay type. Among these 9 papers, 2 papers are used for qualifying, and only the marks of 7 papers will be counted. It will be followed by an interview to test the personality of the candidate.

CACS offers both full-time as well as part-time classes. The batch timings are flexible, and students are free to choose a weekend or regular batch. Depending on the batch selected, the course duration can come between fifteen months to three years. The regular evening and morning batches will be for three hours per day. The weekend classes for professionals will be full-day intensive coaching so that the entire portion can be covered within 15 months.
