Ride with Pride: Donkey Republic supports Pride Berlin with free rides and donations

BERLIN, 22.07.2019 - 50 years ago there was a rebellion at the Stonewall Inn that resulted in the birth of the LGBTIQ+ movement and the ongoing fight for recognition and equality. To mark this milestone, this year’s Christopher Street Day (CSD) demonstration in Berlin has adopted the motto "Stonewall 50 - every riot starts with your voice”. Bike-share provider, Donkey Republic, has partnered with the organisers of CSD 2019 to support the cause and provide free rides for the entire Pride Week.

We’d like to encourage everyone to ride bicycles, and hope that users will take the free rides to get involved in Pride Week activities." shared Erdem Ovacik, co-founder and CEO of Donkey Republic.
Free rentals for Pride Week
During Berlin Pride Week (19 - 28 July) visitors and locals will be able to enjoy a free six-hour ride on a Donkey Bike from any of the hubs in the city. Users will simply have to download the Donkey Republic App on their Android or iOS device, select a bike and enter the code CSDBERLIN.
That is not all; cycling around on a Donkey Bike is not just an environmentally-friendlier option, every time the code is used during Pride Week, Donkey Republic will donate one Euro to CSD Berlin e.V.
Rainbow fleet for Berlin
150 rental bikes will also be dressed up with the iconic rainbow flag to show support for the LGBTIQ+ community and stand with them. Donkey Republic hopes that users will make use of the code and ride the rainbow flag all across Berlin.
