Happiness Begins With Forgiveness: Dr. Laurie Pappas Offers Powerful Resources In The ‘The Loving Heart’
Many people feel that forgiving others is often not possible or perhaps simply not deserved. Dr. Laurie Pappas, author of ‘The Loving Heart: Navigating The Journey From Conflict To Peace,’ teaches that forgiveness is a necessary and significant step on the road to happiness. She offers Elizabeth Smart's ordeal as an extreme example of the transformational power of forgivenessEveryone knows the story of Elizabeth Smart, who was kidnapped and raped daily for nine months by her captor, Brian David Mitchell, before being rescued. Amazingly, Smart went on to forgive her tormentor and has gone on to establish The Elizabeth Smart Foundation, dedicated to helping protect children from physical abuse.

Dr. Pappas presents her approach in 'The Loving Heart: Navigating the Journey from Conflict to Peace'. The book is supplemented by a workbook entitled 'The Loving Heart Companion'. Dr. Pappas has included over 30 years of observation and wisdom gained from personal experiences, as well as working with students, clients, family members and colleagues. She now offers a series of teleclasses dealing with the subjects contained within her written works.
