New QR Code Manager Adds More Functionality to Solodev Software

Solodev, a leading website design and software development company, has increased the functionality of its enterprise website content management system with the addition of QR Solo, a multifunctional QR code manager. This new module allows users to take advantage of the growing trend of incorporating QR, or quick response, code into their marketing efforts.

QR code is a two-dimensional barcode shaped like a postage stamp. It can be used as a means to direct people to websites through printed marketing materials and other avenues. The code hyperlinks to a website that can be accessed when viewed by a reader-enabled smart phone or other QR code reading device.

“While QR code is not a new technology, its usage is growing rapidly,” said Solodev CEO Shawn Moore. “The great thing about QR Solo is that it is built right into our software so our clients don’t need to rely on an outside vendor. It also integrates into each website’s existing analytics program so the effectiveness of marketing campaigns can easily be tracked.”

QR Solo automatically creates the printable QR image and allows users to quickly set up and track multiple campaigns. Not all third-party QR code generators track website analytics and some do so by first directing the viewer to a third-party site before redirecting. If that bridge site happens to be down at the time they visit they will not make it to their intended destination.
