Hearts on t-shirts that even guys wear
Along with several other very talented artists from around the world, this addition represents a significant milestone for Cultera, a recently launched open-artist t-shirt project. Their major focus since launching in April 2011 has been to build up the variety of different designs in their catalog. Adding an acclaimed designer like Thomas Fuchs is definitely a huge step in that direction.
The Cultera artists list is growing daily and will soon be followed by some other additional features, such as website and content localization through local partners, etc.
About Thomas Fuchs
Thomas Fuchs was born and raised in Germany. After finishing his studies in Graphic Design and Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart with an MfA in '97, he moved to New York in November of the same year.
His work has received awards from The Society of Illustrators (Gold Medal, Advertising and Institutional Category), American Illustration, Communication Arts, Print, SPD, The Art Directors Club NY and Germany (of which he is a member) and SND (Silver Medal). He currently lives and works in New York.

About Cultera
Cultera is a recently launched EU based project with a different take on how t-shirt designs are collected and presented to t-shirt lovers. They don't select and buy design copyrights based on community voting, and then sell the designs to the same community. Instead, they motivate artists to offer any design they feel people will love wearing. This way customers “vote” for the designs by actually buying things they like. The selection process extends beyond simple clicking & voting to actually purchasing & wearing the t-shirt. The artists are paid a high & unlimited share of revenue, while they never need to sell their copyrights. Designs that don't find any audience are cleared out of the catalog after a certain period of time, thus keeping it clean and attractive.
Cultera uses t-shirts that come with Fair Wear certificate. They print with water-based ink and pack their t-shirts in an award-winning hanger-package that was designed specifically for Cultera.
