Innovation leader in product marking - cab has once more been awarded a TOP 100 company
The Karlsruhe-located manufacturer of label printers, automated labeling systems and marking lasers has been rated excellent by the 26th edition of the nationwide TOP 100 innovation contest. In the independent selection process, the jury was impressed particularly by the innovation-promoting top management and innovation success.For the second time since 2017, cab has made the leap into the innovation elite. On this occasion, Gabriele Luczak-Schwarz, First Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe, invited the cab Managing Director Alexander Bardutzky to the City Hall: “I am very pleased to have cab among the TOP 100 most innovative companies in Germany, as this contributes to the success of Karlsruhe as an economic and scientific location.”
Alexander Bardutzky states innovative capability a basic attribute for any further development. “The success of an innovation depends from the creativity as well as the support and acceptance of all the parties involved,” Bardutzky says. He has been running the family business for ten years together with his father Klaus, the founder of cab. Klaus Bardutzky is still a key figure in product development, whereas Alexander Bardutzky is responsible for sales, marketing, human resources and accounting. The company is growing steadily. At present, cab has a total of 400 employees, 160 of whom are working at the company's headquarters in the Karlsruhe Technology Park, the location for high-tech companies. There are further 820 distribution and service partners worldwide. Almost half of the total turnover is at present achieved by further developed product generations, one fifth is generated due to new innovations such as the IXOR labeling head or the XENO marking laser.
The TOP 100 contest
Since 1993, compamedia is awarding the TOP 100 quality seal for special innovative strength and outstanding innovation success to medium-sized companies. According to the initiator, 398 companies applied in the current round. In three size categories, a total of 262 companies (a maximum of 100 per category) got an award. 65 percent of these companies are family-run.
