Using his experience as a World Champion Surfer and leadership activist, Shaun strives to motivate and inspire the lives of youth in the USA, South Africa and around the world through his unique CODE process of envisioning and self-empowerment – helping youth find their purpose, find their power and find their path. Given ITL’s South African roots and their commitment to supporting communities, this partnership with Shaun is the perfect opportunity for ITL to give back by working with Shaun and his charities.

Based on Shaun’s experience in the apparel industry in California with brands he has worked for – Patagonia and O’Neill - and with his own brands Instinct and Solitude, Shaun is excited to connect ITL to key players in the industry to introduce these brands to solutions and products to minimise their environmental impact.

About Shaun Tomson:
Shaun has shared his academically validated Code Leadership Method around the world, from high-powered boardrooms and universities in the US, Australia and Europe to rural schools in South Africa.
A former World Surfing Champion, Shaun was named one of the 10 Greatest Surfers of All Time. He has a Bachelor's in Business Administration, a Master of Science in Leadership from Northeastern University and has created two popular apparel brands, Instinct and Solitude (co-founded with his wife Carla).
He is the author of the best sellers Surfer's Code and The Code – The Power of "I Will". He produced and co-wrote the documentary film Bustin' Down the Door (2006) and is a past board member of Surfrider Foundation and the Santa Barbara Boys & Girls Club.
