International experts are discussing highly actual topics at the FUTURE OF FOOTBALL BUSINESS-Conference.
Digitization, Internationalization and the Future of Club Football
How clubs and leagues can benefit from the cooperation with startups will be discussed by Tomasz Zahorski, proxy of the board at Legia Warsaw, and Patrick Lenhart, marketing manager of the Austrian Bundesliga.
Peter Hambüchen of Borussia Mönchengladbach and Felix Welling of VfL Wolfsburg will provide exciting insights into their clubs internationalisation strategies.
The kick-off keynote will come from Georg Pangl, General Secretary of the European Leagues - a kind of home game for the Austrian. Together with David Morgenbesser of Sky and Raphael Landthaler, CFO of Rapid Vienna and at the same time representative of the European Club Association ECA, Pangl will then discuss the future of European club football.
Focus on Startups
There will also be a famous name on stage: Jonas Hummels, brother of BVB player Mats Hummels, introduces his startup Rippleworx. In general, startups play an important role, the last item on the programme being the Football Innovation Award presented by Interwetten in the category "Innovative Startup". Among other things, the winner can look forward to an exclusive pitch appointment with the Austrian Bundesliga and membership in the Football Business Network worth 2,500 Euros. Submission for the award is possible until 31 July.
