Gleistein receives “Entrepreneurs of the Year” Award
Company Managing Directors honoured by the Bremen (Germany) chapterof the ASU Independent Entrepreneurs association:
The Managing Directors of Gleistein Ropes, Klaus Walther and Thomas Schlaetzer are the proud holders of the 2011 “Bremen Entrepreneurs of the Year” Award. The ASU Independent Entrepreneurs association extended this special honour at a 600-person gala event that was hosted by the Bremen Sparkasse (savings bank) in Germany on 26 May. With the prize, ASU aims to reward successful, yet most importantly, responsible entrepreneurship.
In a world where business success is often primarily defined by cold, hard figures, it’s refreshing when other, “soft” factors are additionally considered as important facets in the overall picture. In awarding its annual “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award, the ASU Independent Entrepreneurs association also takes such aspects into account to classify successful business achievement. This year, the ASU Bremen chapter extended the prize to Gleistein Ropes Managing Directors Klaus Walther and Thomas Schlaetzer. “We’re thrilled to receive this honour,” explains an elated Schlaetzer. “Responsible entrepreneurship is something that deserves broader recognition. Our company boasts a tradition that dates back to 1824, which makes us Bremen’s oldest family-run firm. It is unlikely that this ongoing success would have been possible had we purely focused on financial aspects. Acting responsibly is engrained in our personal beliefs and is a cornerstone of our company business strategy. We are certain that this plays an important role in the success that Gleistein Ropes enjoys today across the globe.”
About Gleistein Ropes:
