Global muslim prayer time geotargeted calculator on-line software testing is over and version 1.0 is launched
Interactive Muslim Prayer Times calculator is finally released onlinePray In Time Islamic Information Center announces full public availability of its Interactive Muslim Prayer (Namaz, Salat) Times Calculator. With the help of the fully web-based and highly interactive tool, accurate times for Muslims prayers can now be determine not only for large cities, but for any location on Earth.
Once a required location is identified, a user can get free access to a week long prayer schedule, obtain RSS feeds for a website or a blog, order a custom built version of Mobile Adhan software, or request an electronic (Adobe pdf) or a hard copy of a Muslim Prayers Calendar 2007 for the specified prayers spot.
The software platform behind the website is a combination of an extensive geographic names database and an easy to use Google Map. The database does not only contain populated places, but also important geographic locations and historic landmarks. The calculation engine tracks daylight saving and regional time settings, allows all major prayer times calculations methods (such as acc. to Egyptian General Authority of Survey; University of Islamic Studies, Karachi, both Shafi and Hanafi; Islamic Circle of Northern America; The Muslim League; Umm Al-Qura and Fixed Isha).
The interactive Namaz times calculator is a part of a broader Pray-In-Time Islamic Information Center effort to provide Muslims with accurate and helpful informational services. The website is already equipped with a discussion board and is designed in multiple languages. Upcoming releases will also contain a useful Islamic directory.
The suggested service may also be useful for non-Muslim organizations and persons dealing with Muslim partners and seeking advise on Muslim traditions and practices.
