cab premiere in Munich: new marking laser to be integrated in production sites
In the matter of integration, the scan heads of the XENO 4 require considerably less installation space compared to those of the FL+. Different F-Theta lenses are provided to focus the laser beam on the component. Marking fields of 69 x 69 mm to 290 x 290 mm can be covered. Shifting the focus within fractions of a second comes as a new feature with the XENO 4S model. In accordance with a Z coordinate in the marking layout, the intended marking plane is approached in milliseconds to get the focused marking there. Even at height differences up to 140 mm, components can still be marked sharp-edged and well-defined in depth across several levels.
Precise and highly integrable
XENO 4 is used with 20, 30 or 50 Watt Ytterbium-doped fiber laser sources. Quick and reliable markings are possible on plastics, metals and colored surfaces. Thanks to a high beam quality, even component shapes such as radii and uneven surfaces can be marked with resolutions up to 1,000 dpi. The results are highly resistant to environmental influences, dissolvers or abrasion. Machine-readable encoding allows the tracking and tracing of components secure and effectively, for example with the help of laser-marked 2D DataMatrix or QR encoding.
As regards integration, XENO 4 meets the high requirements on safety demanded by performance level d. Safety and communication interfaces enable industrial marking in the automotive, electronics or medical technologies, in machinery, tooling and mold construction. All the XENO 4 lasers might be controlled remote in networks in which machines interact with other machines or human beings. The control unit and the beam source are assembled in a 19" housing. All the XENO 4 are delivered with the cabLase marking software.
Any kind of application
For 20 years, cab has been developing, manufacturing and selling laser marking solutions. These are universally applicable. Imagine large numbers of parts marked within fully automatic production lines. LM+ systems enable the marking of labels made of laser markable foil straight from the roll, whereas XENO 3 is to choose when it comes to metal or plastic typeplates (such a system also premiers on the fair). Enclosed by the safety housing LSG+, the laser can be operated on a manual workplace to mark individual parts or smaller series of components. Since early 2018, the XENO 1 desktop system completes the cab range of laser marking solutions.
A clean affair
cab offers a filter system to economically extract gases and particles emitted in laser marking processes. The operational readiness and the degree of filter saturation are continuously monitored. Even the speed of the extraction turbine can be controlled and set via the interface.
