Encoder / Multiplexer EMA 207 / 308 / 407 / 408

The EMA series, provided by BLANKOM, enriches the market with a cascadable encoder / transcoder equipment together with a multiplexer for an external ASI–TS.
This new equipment enables broadcasters, cable network operators and TV studios to generate their own digital service bouquets and convert them into a DVB stream.
The output signals are available in ASI as well as in two IP formats and can be split up into IP MPTS.
The whole output stream can be processed according to the MPEG regulations independent whether ASI or IP is the wanted signal format. The different EMA’s encode analogue or digital signals into a MPEG2 or H. 264 / AVC TS. Each single EMA can encode up to 4 different input signals. The recommended maximum amount of cascaded encoders is given with 8 units, so 32 sources can be encoded by an EMA cascade.
The advantages of this equipment are easy to find; each single; incoming input signal can be converted into a MPEG / DVB TS. In integrated MUXX provides the possibility to converge an external source with the encoded services.


Multi Encoding / Multiplexing SD with EMA 207 and EMA 308

The encoders EMA 208 and EMA 308 are state of the art equipment. The functionalities of an encoder and multiplexer are united in both devices.
Those units with first choice technical parameters secure high performance digital signals. The units offer an intelligent solution for encoding of up to 4 SDI or analogue input signals. The additional ASI input allows the multiplex of the encoded services and an external sources into one output TS.
The EMA 308 is additional equipped with IP stream output in GbitE level for UDP or RTP transmissions.

Multi Encoding/ Transcoding/ Multiplexing SD & HD with EMA 407 and EMA 408

The EMA 408 and EMA 407 are further units of the new encoder series. These both units are conceived for the processing of SD or HD signals and hence they enrich or endorse already existing multiplexes. The units secure state of the art performances.
The EMA 408 facilitates the encoding of 4 A/V or SDI/HSDI signals or the transcoding of up to 4 MPEG2 signal into H.264 (ASI and IP).
The EMA 407 is the transcoder in the encoder family. It converts H.264 / AVC into MPEG2. All encoders provide an ASI as well as an IP output in MPTS or SPTS format in UDP, RTP. All units are housed in a 1 RU chassis. The outstanding low power consumption is a future orientated feature to save our environment.
