LOCAL SENIORS ADOPT BARTON CREEK BOULEVARD IN HONOR OF EARTH DAY
In honor of Earth Day, residents of Querencia at Barton Creek senior living community came together to help make their neighborhood sparkle just a little bit more than it already does. Adopting Barton Creek Boulevard, the local seniors spent the day picking up trash and debris. Being a part of a generation where many grew up with very little during the Great Depression and World War II, this special group of seniors understands the meaning of sacrifice and giving back.“Everyone that helped out worked extremely hard and together we made a big impact on Barton Creek Boulevard,” said Ross Dickmann, executive director at Querencia. “It’s always nice to be able to give back to our community, and Earth Day gave us another occasion to do just that.”
Querencia at Barton Creek is a premier life care senior living resort located at Barton Creek Boulevard and Chalk Knoll Drive in Austin, Texas, less than a mile from Barton Creek Resort & Club. The 400,000 square-foot senior living resort features 167 independent living residences, including 10 villas, on 38 acres. Residences are available in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging in size from 830 square feet to more than 2,200 square feet. The Plaza at Querencia features assisted living apartment homes in one- and two-bedroom designs, memory support suites, private nursing rooms for long-term care, and Medicare-certified private suites for short-term rehabilitation.
