AOC presents a new display series with LED backlights

Berlin, 28 April 2011 – Display specialist AOC sets a new course for both office and home with the 50ID, a versatile flatscreen series ranging from 47cm/18.5″ to 59.8 cm/23.6″. The slim widescreen models come in a timeless black design. Thanks to numerous features the displays equipped with innovative LED backlights impress with very good image quality.

Powerful all-rounders
Monitors from the new 50ID series by AOC are characterised by the latest display technology, a top performance as well as a classic design. Due to high contrast and brightness values of 20,000,000:1 and 250 cd/m² respectively as well as a quick response time of just five milliseconds, the monitors render even the fastest movie sequences fluently and razor-sharp.

The 50ID models are available with analogue and digital inputs, the larger versions offer Full HD resolution. Some models are equipped with speakers.

Settings can be adjusted comfortably via the userfriendly onscreen menu. The included i-menu software enables users to change the settings with the mouse.

Software Screen+, a software with which the screen can be split into several windows, is included. It provides a noticeable relief to users who constantly switch back and forth between a number of applications.

Slim and classic design
At their slimmest region, these monitors, which sport hairline textures on the rearside as well as the base, are just 1.6 cm deep. With their timeless look they easily fit into almost every setting.

Focus on the environment: innovative LED technology
Resource-efficiency and energy saving are of high importance at AOC. Thanks to the electricity-saving LED backlight technology – these models use less than 30 watts – current environmental standards such as ENERGY STAR, TCO or EPEAT are fulfilled. Moreover, all monitors are manufactured entirely mercury-free. In addition, users can individually select further energy saving options and contribute to an even lower overall consumption.

The 50ID models will enter the market in June 2011. Retail prices have not been determined yet.
