AOC presents a 2in1 display with just one USB port for power and signal: the new AOC USB monitor

Dorsten, 28 June 2011 – Display specialist AOC presents both a display and a portable large format photo frame or presentation monitor in just one product. What is more: this product receives both its power and signal via a single USB cable for hassle-free handling. The new e2251Fwu is equally suitable for business as well as action-packed entertainment.

This ultra slim widescreen model with a response time of 5 milliseconds, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and a screen size of 54.6cm / 21.5″ comes in an elegant and timeless black design. Thanks to numerous features the display equipped with innovative LED backlights impresses with a very good image quality.

One USB port for power and signal
The AOC e2251Fwu is characterised by its adaptor-free USB feature, which allows it to receive its power as well as the signal via a single USB cable. Further displays or other devices such as notebooks, netbooks or tablet PCs can equally be attached this way.

Due to its high typical contrast and brightness values of 1,000:1 and 200 cd/m² respectively as well as a quick response time of just five milliseconds, this model provides an excellent image quality for movies or gaming.

Versatile
By removing the stand, this flexible monitor instantly transforms into a digital photo frame or presentation display. Due to its minimal weight, the e2251Fwu can be moved around effortlessly, while the large display and wide viewing angles allow several viewers to see a great picture. It can be placed onto the coffee table for showing holiday pictures to friends or watching a film. And it can just as easily be carried along to a client meeting when making a presentation.

Focus on the environment: innovative LED technology
Resource-efficiency and energy saving are of high importance at AOC. Thanks to the electricity-saving LED backlight technology – this model uses over 50% less energy than many CCFL panels – current environmental standards such as ENERGY STAR and EPEAT are fulfilled. Moreover,the monitor is manufactured entirely mercury-free.

The e2251Fwu will enter the market at the end of August 2011. Retail prices have not been determined yet.
