Press release from: PublishAmerica

Frederick, MD March 21, 2007-- PublishAmerica is proud to present The Grave and the Figure Eight: A Myth Reborn by Murray, Kentucky’s Kenneth Tucker. Set just after the first world war, Tucker’s masterfully written novel is the story of Terence Garth, who returns from France to his uncle’s Western Kentucky farm wounded in both body and soul. He learns that his uncle has recently married Isabel, a beautiful but disturbed woman, who is near to Terence’s own age. Despite their wishes to the contrary, the two young persons discover their mutual attraction intensifying, until they become involved in a headlong course leading to adultery, betrayal, deception, depression, alcoholism, and murder, as they find themselves reenacting a classic myth of condemned love and internal destruction.

Kenneth Tucker was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and received his Ph. D. from the University of Kentucky. For more than thirty years, he taught Shakespeare and the literature of the Renaissance at Murray State University. Dr. Tucker has written articles on a number of writers, including Shakespeare, H. G. Wells, F. Scott Fitzgerald, H. P. Lovecraft, and Robert Penn Warren. He is also the author of Eliot Ness and the Untouchables and Shakespeare and Jungian Typology. His previous novels are A Wilderness of Tigers and A Kentucky Colonel in Kentucky Arthur’s Court.

PublishAmerica is the home of 20,000 talented authors. PublishAmerica is a traditional publishing company whose primary goal is to encourage and promote the works of new, previously undiscovered writers. Like more mainstream publishers, PublishAmerica pays its authors advances and royalties, makes its books available in both the United States and Europe through all bookstores, and never charges any fees for its services. PublishAmerica offers a distinctly personal, supportive alternative to vanity presses and less accessible publishers.
