EGW Capital To Raise US $100 Mn Debt

EGW Capital, the blockchain based investment bank is gearing up to raise US $100 mn debt by issuing blockchain based debt tokens to the retail and high net worth investors around the globe.

The company has confirmed its debt raise and the whitepaper will be released before end of May.

The debt tokens will be listed on the blockchain exchanges which will ensure liquidity to the investors.

The debt tokens will bear interest in the range of 12.25%-13.25% per annum. The interest will be paid half yearly.

The debt tokens will be sold through direct and indirect channels. The company is currently in the process of appointing distributors and is preparing a marketing plan to attract global investors.

According to the sources, the company is also exploring the option of conducting an Initial Exchange Offering (IEO).

Amid controversy on the blockchain investing in the emerging markets like China and India, EGW Capital has decided to set up an SPV (mutual fund structure) which will raise funds directly from the public by issuing units. The SPV will then invest in the other blockchain based ventures around the globe where blockchain is legal and is in compliance with the government policies.

EGW Capital is raising US $100 mn to finance the business operations of Salree.com, a lending platform which will provide salary advances to the millions of people in India.

“Salree.com is targeting young workers who face financial shortfall mostly in the middle and the end of the month. We are planning to provide instant salary advances which will support the economy as it will enhance the spending power of an individual,” said Rahul Kumar, CEO, EGW Capital.
