Raleigh, NC—Kyle Corkum, President of L Star Management LLC has announced the acquisition of Inwood Forest, a community located less than six miles from downtown Raleigh. LStar orchestrated the purchase of Inwood Forest for Meritage Homes, the 9th largest national homebuilder. They are based in Arizona

“The Raleigh-Cary area is ranked the number one healthiest homebuilding market for 2011 by Hanley Wood Market Intelligence,” said Kyle Corkum, President of L Star Management LLC. “We’re pleased that Meritage chose Raleigh as the place to grow and we were happy to help make it happen,” he said.

The Raleigh expansion marks the builder’s first entry into a new market in six years. The 50-lot development, which currently has four homes already constructed is expected to be Meritage Homes’ first extreme energy-efficient community in Raleigh, incorporatingadvanced building technologies generally found only in custom homes. Meritage has been driving a residential revolution as the first national homebuilder to exceed the EPA's ENERGY STAR qualification requirements in all of the homes it built last year. As a result, Meritage received ENERGY STAR's 2011 Partner of the Year Award.
