The Planet Is Heating Up So We Need To Cool Down

Domestic air conditioning is creeping its way into the UK and there is a marked increase in the purchase of all types of air conditioning and with global warming in the forefront of the news on a regular basis, it is very clear to all that our planet is heating up.

This is possible by transferring heat energy from one environment to another, and in cooling mode, air conditioning works by using a refrigerant gas in an enclosed system. This technology transfers the heat absorbed by the gas in the enclosed area, for example a room, to the outside air, this will result in the cooling of the area in question. Furthermore at the push of a button the system can be reversed extracting heat from the outside air and bringing it indoors allowing rooms to be heated.

Heat pump technology is very flexible. It simply means that the system can be run in reverse, for example when the system is run in heating mode, the refrigerant flows the opposite way absorbing free heat from the outdoor unit and transfers it to the indoor unit where it is dispersed into the room, and of course providing efficient heating to the room, and when the system is run in air conditioning mode the refrigerant flows through the indoor unit absorbing the heat in the room, which is then carried to the outdoor unit where it is dispersed into the surrounding air, and hey, what do you know, the room is now air conditioned.
