Latin Builders Association® Endorses Mayor Julio Robaina

The Latin Builders Association® (LBA), the largest Hispanic construction association in the United States, announced their endorsement of City of Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina for Miami-Dade County Mayor. The endorsement from the LBA was communicated shortly after the qualifying deadline.

After hosting three of the leading candidates at the first debate for Miami-Dade County Mayor on Friday, March 25, 2011, in order to provide them with a platform to communicate their vision for the future of Miami-Dade County, the LBA is confident in their endorsement of Mayor Robaina.

In 1997, Mayor Robaina was elected Councilman for the City of Hialeah for a four year term and he was re-elected in 2001. In 2005, he was elected Mayor of the City of Hialeah.

“As an association immersed in the building industry, we are extremely invested in the future direction of our local communities and our State and as a result it is imperative that we endorse Mayor Julio Robaina for Miami-Dade County Mayor,” said Bernie Navarro, President-Elect, Latin Builders Association®. “Mayor Robaina has managed Hialeah effectively and we are confident that his experience in the private sector, his knowledge of the building industry and 20 years firsthand experience, and his proven abilities as a business leader will be beneficial and extremely valuable throughout the remainder of this special election and his tenure as a leader in our community. We believe his knowledge and experience will aid our community in our route to recovery.”
