South West storage player in expansion programme - self storage, container hire and sales company increases footprint by 20%

Press release from: Container Team

April 2011 – Somerset based, Container Team is expanding its storage depot with a 20% increase in capacity as local business demand continues to rise.

As business operators strive to keep costs low, container storage has proved highly cost-effective to those without premises. The managed warehouse set-up frees up companies to focus on sales and service while stock or parts deliveries are handled remotely.

“As trading conditions are still tough, it’s vital to maximise every sales opportunity – companies like Container Team help keep me in business,” said Shona Sear, Operations Manager, Regal Distribution.

The managed warehouse service is used by many customers including MITIE. Engineers and servicing personnel can maximise their earning potential by being on site working whilst the staff at Container Team handle their deliveries storing them securely for collection as and when required.

Other companies such as market traders, builders and plumbers enjoy the ease of access container storage allows. They can reverse their vans up to the doors of their container and unload their goods directly into their unit. For many this is a huge advantage over other forms of self storage available.

The increase in footprint also allows the company to increase its stock of 20ft and 40ft containers which it hires and sells nationally to businesses and consumers with on-site storage requirements.

“We are equally at home supporting local businesses as we are local chains of national brands in our self-storage depot,” said Hazel Edwards, Director at Container Team. “We pride ourselves on the level of personal service that we offer and we hope to extend that to more businesses throughout the south west and nationally with our increased stock of containers.”
