Revival of cinematic evergreens

INTERKULTUR and the world champion city Graz invite to the most spectacular event of the choral week in July:
The "FilmHarmony" concert gives popular and well-known soundtracks of movie classics a new sound based in a multimedia choir symphonic film music show!
On July 15, 2011 an exclusive choir and a top ensemble from Budapest, the Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok, create an extraordinary experience! Interpretations of songs like "Once Upon a Time in the West", "Titanic" or "The Lion King" and hits of other movie classics will enchant the audience.
With its soundtracks and singers from all over the world the "FilmHarmony" show represents a fascinating musical journey across five continents – from Europe to Africa and Asia over to Australia and the Caribbean and to America!
The Show Choir consists of choirs who participated in the World Choir Championships for Youth and Young Adults and in the Grand Prix of Choral Music and is being especially regrouped for this event by the Artistic Committee. The Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok, which participates regularly in renowned international festivals, takes part amongst others in Sting’s this year’s "Symphonicity" tour!

Die 1st World Choir Championships for Youth and Young Adults and the 2nd Grand Prix of Choral Music will feature very special and intoxicating musical moments from July 10 – 17, 2011. In 2008 Graz, the former Capital of Culture and UNESCO City of Design was already host of the 5th World Choir Games, the biggest choir competition of all INTERKULTUR events.
