A record quarter for ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH

Halver, 4 April 2011 - ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH has completed the most successful quarter in its 28-year history. The connectivity- and housing specialist reports new records of turnover and order entry confirming the positive economic trend in Germany in general and in the electrical industry in particular.

“With a turnover of 11 million Euros, the first quarter of 2011 was very successful”, said Dietrich Turck, Managing Director of ESCHA. “After a total turnover of 34 million Euros in 2010 we started the new year with full speed.” However, it is important for Mr. Turck to point out that the orders do not only come from a certain region. “Our growth is based on an increasing demand in all important markets – we have been able to benefit from the good economic situation in North America, Europe, and Asia.”

In addition to the positive economic climate, the Managing Director considers the product strategy of the family-controlled company is responsible for turnover- and order entry records. After ESCHA had been able to establish itself as a market leader in the area of custom-made connectivity- and housing technology in the last few years, the entire standard product range was redesigned within only one year. “With our new product lines ‘Automation Line’ and ‘base line’ we offer M8x1 and M12x1 standard connectivity solutions at attractive prices and with high quality”, says Dietrich Turck.

In addition to the round connectors, ESCHA has developed new valve connectors and passive-junction boxes. According to Mr. Turck, the new products were deliberately developed during the crisis and thus were available on the market in time for the economic recovery. The Managing Director feels that the company strategy has been confirmed through the currently high demand and positive customer feedback.

However, it is not only the economic growth and a new product strategy that have contributed to a record quarter. Optimized logistics- and production procedures as well as high delivery reliability have won new customers.

This all has led to recruiting a large number of employees for administration and production in the last few months. Meanwhile, the company has about 500 employees at its headquarters in Halver and is still searching for qualified workforce among which those for product management, development, and sales to be well prepared for the challenges of the coming few years.

In conclusion, Managing Director Dietrich Turck is optimistically looking ahead: “We expect the positive development to continue in the course of the year. As a specialist in custom-made solutions with a revised Standard Product-Portfolio, we are all set for the future.”
