Press release from: The World Demands | Your Climate Change Short Movie

Hamburg/Koblenz, March 31. Copenhagen was a ‘Waterloo’ for Climate Protection Worldwide. Also the 16th United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Cancun, December 2011, has not produced big decisions to stop anthropogenic Climate Change and to defend our world against further drastic consequences of Global Warming. Now the United Nations and the signatories of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change are working towards a major success in the next ‘Conference of Parties’ in Durban, South Africa, at the end of the year 2011.
But even today voices from the world politics are growing even louder, anticipating no further big breakthroughs in Durban. Though Global Warming will not pause. The time window in which world community could mitigate the consequences from our greenhouse gas emissions since industrialization is shrinking faster and faster. But the appreciable ramifications are increasing.
After the worldwide heat waves of last summer we are bemoaning the loss of tenthousands of heat victims. Experts are warning that such heat waves will occur five to ten times more often in future decades. Droughts, but also extreme, enduring rainfalls and resultant floods, will torment us more and more frequently. And world population is growing. Nearly seven billion people are living on our planet today and a large part of humanity is already fighting for drinking water and food. According to a forecast of the UNO our planet will harbor nine billion people in 2050. On that score the ramifications arising out of Climate Change will take on a dramatic scale.

While politics and economy are contending unsuccessfully about wide-ranging changes for the protection of Earth Climate, Civil Society is getting left out as an onlooker. Neither calls from underdeveloped nor from developed countries are loud enough or will be heard from our leaders in politics and economy. Though exactly these voices must get a better hearing from the world leaders because Civil Society should decide about the endeavor and pace of Climate Change Policies of more than 190 countries on our planet.

‘The World Demands | Your Climate Change Short Movie’ is a worldwide video action, which wants to convey appeals, sorrows, fears and stories of numerous people of the Civil Society to the representatives of politics, economy, religion, society and medias. This Climate Protection Campaign would like to publish at least one video message once a week from April 2011 up to the end of the ‘Conference of Parties’ in Durban. For this purpose the founders of this campaign have create a platform on the social network Facebook.com. An own YouTube-Channel will call out these messages into the world. At the same time these video messages wil be sent to the leaders and representatives of politics, economy, religion, society and medias. ‘The World Demands | Your Climate Change Short Movie’ bets on the empowerment of Civil Societies worldwide to put Climate Protection as an matter of first priority on the political agendas.

What does sustainable Climate Protection means to our society?
It means the survival of our society and respect, tolerance and liability towards all life forms on Earth and also assistance, friendship and freedom for all peoples. On April 15, 2011 the first video message shall be online. An English subtitle will simplify this message, even if it comes from a lost world.
Adi Braune and Marcel Rolf Hoffmann, founders of this video campaign, are looking forward to numerous uploads and emails. After a post-production of the received short movies these videos will be published week after week.
Videos can be uploaded directly on the ‘The World Demands | Your Climate Change Short Movie’–Facebook-Site or can be sent by email:

UK Protection Insurance: Critical Illness & Income Protection
Individual product performance in the protection market is a turbulent and confusing picture, with erratic premium behavior across the board. While term (and specifically non-mortgage term) products are still the dominant force with over 70% of protection share, there has been downward pressure on every product line in recent times, reflecting the uncertain, fragile national macroeconomic picture. Indeed, in the absence of major market-driven change it is the macro-environment that
