End of the season events at ski resorts: Don’t miss out with

It's almost the end of the 2010-2011 winter ski season and the major resorts across Europe are busy hosting special events and festivals to ensure the season ends with a bang. With so much happening it’s easy to miss out, so the Ski Holiday Guide editors at SkiHorizon have published a new guide to the best of the end of season events.

With 10 years’ experience in ski holiday rentals, SkiHorizon has an in-depth knowledge of the best places to ski and snowboard, along with all sorts of hints, tips and recommendations on how to make the most of a mountain holiday. So far the ski season has already seen a multitude of special events, competitions and activities across Europe’s ski resorts. These have included Carnivals, Christmas parties and music festivals. However, the close of the season and Easter are always key times for special events to take place.

The guide to the events at the close of the season can be found in the SkiHorizon Ski Holiday Guide at http://www.skihorizon.co.uk/ski-holiday-guide/end-of-season-events-and-music-festivals-in-the-alps/

Some of the highlights include:
Early April sees countless parties and festivals taking place. The Portes du Soleil ski stations are popular with skiers of all abilities and this year, an innovative new festival gives it another boost: The ‘Go Wild Outdoor’ Music Festival. So, what is this festival all about? There are free concerts on the slopes which are announced at the last minute by text message; temporary stages set up during the night, and other surprises taking place. From the 2nd to the 9th April, big names on the French and international music scene will be dropping in, including Keziah Jones, BB Brunes and Jonathan Joyce, plus many more.

During the same week, the resort of Mayrhofen in Austria hosts a music festival where DJs mix it up with some of the biggest rock bands around. The Snowbombing Festival features great bands such as The Prodigy, 2Many DJs and Fatboy Slim. Austria’s reputation for excellent après-ski ensures that there will be a great atmosphere day and night during the festival.

SkiHorizon Ski Holiday Guide will be kept up to date with latest news about the resorts, equipment, accommodation and you can also follow this via:
