Fanning Harper Home to Two Attorneys Highlighted on Texas Rising Stars List
Joshua A. Skinner and Francisco J. Valenzuela selected to 2011 Texas Rising Stars list
This marks the second consecutive year that both Mr. Skinner and Mr. Valenzuela are recognized for their work representing cities, municipalities and governmental entities in courtroom litigation, employment disputes, and other legal matters.
Additionally, Mr. Skinner is profiled in the Texas Rising Stars feature story, “Joshua Skinner and the Candy Cane Case.” The article examines a free speech case in which Mr. Skinner and name partner Thomas Brandt represent officials from the Plano Independent School District.
Mr. Skinner earned his law degree at Ave Maria School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Dallas. Mr. Valenzuela earned his law degree from the Notre Dame Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Dallas.
In developing the 2011 listing, researchers with Thomson Reuters’ Legal division sought nominations from attorneys across Texas, seeking to identify the best lawyers in the state under age 40, as well as attorneys who have been in practice less than 10 years. Fewer than 2.5 percent all Texas lawyers are highlighted in the 2011 Rising Stars list, which appears in the April issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Rising Stars magazines.
