Kaindl OPEN FLOOR HOUSE 2011: News and trends for professionals

At the Open Floor House 2011, Kaindl was proud to welcome an expert audience from around the world. The news and ideas for boards and floors by the Salzburg wood manufacturer not only sparked visitors' interest but also provided creative inspiration.

As in previous years, Kaindl invited its customers and partners to the Open Floor House in Salzburg at the start of 2011. For representatives from design, architecture and handcraft, the annual in-house trade fair of the Salzburg boards and floors manufacturer has long been a fixed date in their calendars. With just under 900 visitors from around the world, the new products and Kaindl’s new brand appearance were very well received.

But first things first: „Boards. Floors. Ideas” is not only Kaindl’s new guiding principle but also the motto of this year’s in-house trade fair. The innovative ideas are reflected in the new advertisement material and working tools, on the one hand, as well as in the lifestyle bags, in which the new product collections were presented to customers. „Quality and design requirements are our brand’s business card, so to speak; when it comes to both products as well as appearance,” Managing Director Doris Buchmesser explains the new brand appearance.

New boards, floors and ideas

Early this year Kaindl restructured its expanded product range. The boards and floors collections were reorganized and simply and clearly adapted to the needs of customers and partners. The creative variety of the trendsetter is also reflected in the wide-ranging content of the new product collections. For the BOARDS, in addition to the new wood types and many new unidécors, the synchronous board “Natural Touch Woodstock” was met with particular approval this year. As with all Kaindl synchronous décors, the surface structure is perfectly consistent with the décor image.

A brand new development, specifically for the in-house trade fair: the synchronous décors SX “Natural Touch Rough Sawn”. The special board in 10 different décors stands out particularly due to its rough sawn surface – an innovative product for modern interior design.

In the floors segment, too, new trends were developed. The popular laminate floor series “Natural Touch” was expanded by two new synchronous structures (”Fabulous” and “Gentle”), which were met with positive reactions by the audience.

Kaindl Virtual Apartment to the POS:

The Virtual Apartment was met with particularly great interest. With special 3D glasses, the boards and floors can be experienced first-hand in the cinema-like Kaindl viewing room. Another novelty was presented at the Open Floor House 2011: 3D terminals that bring the Virtual Apartment directly to the POS and thus to the end consumer. The customer gets to experience his desired products in an ambience that is very much like the real thing and can therefore make a decision more easily and quickly.
